Exploring Waterfall Creek's Scenic Beauty
Waterfall Creek is located along State Highway 6, positioned between Camp Creek and Boundary Creek, just north of the Isthmus between Lake Hawera and Lake Wānaka. This spot is known for its picturesque waterfall, which can be easily seen from the roadside.
Best Viewing Spot
To capture the best view of the waterfall, take a brief walk onto the bridge over the creek. From the lakeside of the bridge, you can see the waterfall's base as it flows into Lake Wānaka. While taking in the view, remember to stay aware of passing vehicles on the bridge.
How to Get There
To visit Waterfall Creek, drive along State Highway 6 from Lake Hāwea towards Makarora. The creek is situated between Camp Creek and Boundary Creek, north of the Isthmus. There is plenty of space to pull over safely and enjoy the scenic waterfall.
