Milford Beach is a lovely Auckland city beach, safe for swimming with little surf. It is mostly bounded by houses, but at its north end, there is a park, Milford Reserve, adjacent to the mouth of the Wairau Creek. There is also a cafe opposite this park. You can also access the beach from several roads that terminate along its length. You can also reach it along the North Shore Coastal Walk / Te Araroa between Thorne Bay and Campbells Bay.
The south to middle sections of the beach are sandy and excellent for swimming or photo reflections at low tide! The northern section has an unusual flat rocky platform that is exposed at low tide.
