Tata Beach is a beautiful golden sand beach accessed from Abel Tasman Drive in Golden Bay. It is between Ligar Bay and Abel Tasman Point, about 17 km from Takaka. There are a few holiday homes behind the beach, but otherwise, it’s very quiet.
From the beach, there is a nice outlook towards the Burnett Range on the far side of Golden Bay.
It's a wonderful place to stop for a beach break.
