Tahunanui Beach is a pretty beach in the south end of Nelson, about halfway between central Nelson and the airport. It’s signposted with parking just off State Highway 6, so easy to get to.
It’s the best beach near Nelson and is popular for a full range of beach activities, including surfing. Expect it to be busy in good weather.
