This is the cheat’s way to get the same amazing view as the Paekākāriki Escarpment Track. Drive up Paekākāriki Hill Road on a nice day to the viewpoint on the top of the hill. Access to the road is from State Highway 59 just south of Paekākāriki.
The viewpoint is at 240 metres. The view takes in the entire coast, Kāpiti Island and the South Island. From there, return the same way or continue to follow the road on a scenic drive to Poirirua.
