Momori Point is at the south end of Wigmore Bay. You need to be there very close to low tide to get on to the point. As you round the point, there is a small cave, and then you can climb up onto a rocky outcrop at the very end of the point. This gives you a view into the next bay, Wahirua, and back towards Wigmore and Te Henga. You may also see a few surfers.
Looking across Wahirua Bay, you will see Pukekowhai Point, with its large jutting rock. You can see this rock from the north end of Bethells Te Henga! It’s not easy to go further than Momori Point as the cliffs drop almost directly down to the sea at low tide just beyond the point.
