Flat Rock is the large point on the west side of the main beach at Anchor Bay at Tāwharanui Regional Park. You can walk between the two sections of the point at low tide, but it is also an easy walk from the car park onto the grassed top of the larger section.
There are excellent views along the beach in both directions and out to Te Hauturu O Toi (Little Barrier Island).
