Cape Campbell is as far east as you can go on the mainland of the South Island. But the real attraction is the sense of complete remoteness and the surprisingly scenic views of the lighthouse along the white/grey/gold cliffs above the beach.
If you want to hang around on the beach, don’t put your towel where 4WDs go through!
