The Aorere Wetlands are west of the Aorere River mouth near Collingwood in Golden Bay. Even in the terrible light of the rainstorm, the colours stood out, with an array of greens, golds, and oranges.
If you are enticed into taking a photo, you can safely stop near the bridge that links the main road along the coast to Collingwood Bainham Main Rd.
