Exploring Doubtless Bay's Stunning Beaches
Located in the Far North of Northland, Doubtless Bay spans approximately 20 km. Long Tokerau Beach is an obvious feature, but the bay is also known for its beautiful beaches nestled within minor bays. The southeastern beaches, including Coopers Beach, Cable Bay, and Taipā Bay, are particularly picturesque. These beaches are surrounded by holiday homes, adding a charming touch to the area.

Although beaches are the main feature, there are also interesting walks to pā sites on the points at either end of Coopers Beach, especially Rangikapiti Pā.
How to Get There
To reach Doubtless Bay, travel north from Whangārei along State Highway 1. Continue on State Highway 10, which will lead you directly to the bay. The journey offers scenic views and is well-signposted, ensuring a straightforward drive to this beautiful coastal destination.
From Doubtful Bay, it is also an easy drive to Cape Reinga, Spirits Bay, and Te Paki at the tip of the North Island. Closer to the bay are the beautiful bays and beaches of the Karikari Peninsula, including Matai Bay.
